It’s Kansas and snowing....again!
It has been a long time since we had such a highly competitive Nationals. A season dominant Ryan Trebon crashes out and his teammate Barry Wicks takes the chase. The lead changes hands several times with Jeremy Powers taking the initial chase, then a surging Jonathan Page and Todd Wells. Lurking constantly is Tim Johnson, who is very tenacious in 3rd spot. When Wells fumbles, it is Page leading with Johnson on his tail. One small bobble and Johnson catches Page and passes him for an amazing last lap that really got the Kansas crowds crazed. Late race developments include Troy Wells on the podium,showing a younger brothers ambition towards a future nationals.
